Like a candle, blown out by the raving wind
So unexpected, you left us really too soon
Dreams achieved, but more left unfinished
Even at the peak, a body of work in progress
Nightlong, your dreams still echo in my ears
Retirement at the corner, you were not tired
Waiting to retire, but fired up with lofty ideas
Unfortunately, that new chapter never came
An embodiment of kindness, now gone
To me, a loving, sweet, and caring Aunt
To your students, an amazing Professor
A big void now left unfilled in our hearts
Devastated, bereaved, saddened, empty
A wish that you were here and not gone
Deep to the marrows, we will miss you
Farewell! but still hard to come to terms
Wir werden Dich für immer vermissen
